Things to Do in December

So Jessica has challenged us to make a list of things to do in December. Holy moly, is that in addition to the things I already do? I think I can, I think I can...

Ok, here goes:
  • Put up the Christmas tree
  • Plan our next family vacation (the Caribbean? Europe? hmm)
  • Sing a holiday song before bed
  • Visit a local holiday light display (La Salette, perhaps?)
  • Go for a walk, or look out your largest window at the stars together
  • Read from a favorite holiday book (Eric Carle's Dream Snow)
  • Watch a Christmas movie with popcorn
  • Go out somewhere special for dinner
  • Play board games (ok, my hubs can do this 'cause I am not a fan)
  • Have breakfast for dinner
  • Buy a new Christmas storybook and read it before bed
  • Visit a place you’ve been meaning to go together: a museum, a walking trail, a sledding hill
  • Sing your favorite Christmas song
  • Wrap a toy and take it to a charity Christmas tree
  • Celebrate the longest night of the year (December 21) by lighting extra candles or luminarias
  • Watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” together
  • Address your holiday cards together
  • Adopt a new tradition (it's countdown to Christmas for my 6 year old, with a new nativity figurine every day)
Whew...that wasn't so hard, and I've got a head start on the ones in red. Next up: Things to Make
