self-portrait

As the self-appointed photographer of the family, I am not the subject of many photos. And to make matters worse, I'm a wee bit critical when others take pictures of me and don't do it exactly right. Like my head is in the middle of the photo, cutting off most of my lower body. Or I'm so far away that you can barely see me. (Sorry, honey).

I know, I shouldn't be so critical...

When I saw this challenge to take a self-portrait, I literally ran to apply lip gloss and earrings so I could snap a few. It's a BEAUTIFUL day here too, which helped push me out.

I only took a few pictures of myself because I got side-tracked by another idea, which I'll post eventually. But I really like two pics, which I'll post now.

This picture is so very me. I must be very light sensitive because I always squint with my right eye closed. I even close that eye sometimes when I'm tired and am trying to read. I also like this pic because it shows the color of my house, which I love, and it shows off my fabulous new highlights. I heart my hairdresser.

And who wouldn't love this one, featuring Charlotte and me. And the right eye squint. I didn't crop this at all--this is just how it came out.

Ok, one more. This is not a self-portait because Charlotte took the pic, but I think she did a great job.
